which had gotten submerged in torrential floods,
had precious few minutes to share his terrifying
final moments just before he died.
The victim, Darren Mitchell , 21, had become trapped in
his truck during a brutal flood in the City of Texas, USA,
and had taken to Facebook to share a photo of his final
moments before he had drowned.
Mitchell shared the photo which shows the inside of the
truck and the windows showing the vehicle fully
submerged in water, along with the caption, "And all I
wanted was to go home".
The victim's body had later been found more than a
mile downstream from the place where his overturned
truck had been discovered.
Mitchell was also one of four people who had reportedly
been killed in the floods which struck the city on
Thursday, May 26, 2016.
Family members of Mitchell, who is revealed to have
been a National Guardsman, disclosed that he had
called to tell them that he was trapped in the flood just
before he shared the haunting post on Facebook.
Ro Mitchell revealed to local station, KHOU :
"He just said he was all right and he made it out of the
truck."
An eye-witness, Lashandoe Smith , also reveals that
Mitchell had been able to climb out onto the roof of his
truck before it toppled into raging floods.

She said:
"He got out of his truck, he got in the bed of his truck,
he got back out, on top of his truck, and then all of the
sudden he got back in his truck.
"And like maybe 10, 15 minutes after he was in his
truck, it just flipped and he topsided into the water."
